Freelance writing is an excellent way to make money part time or full time for that matter. One of the keys to free lance writing is really just to get started which means landing your first client. Some people disagree about whether you should set low or high rates to begin with. But generally for someone in your situation I would price my skills relatively low so that you can get your first job. And then you can build up from there.

In terms of the places that you can find clients. Check out the freelance sites like

www.elance.com
www.guru.com
www.freelancer.com

You can also use micro job sites like fiverr to quickly pick up some money.

You may also want to try constant content or text broker. These are sites which will purchase whatever writing you produce.

Remember freelancing is all about your reputation so work hard, deliver on time and you will find that you have a full time job on your hands

Here are some tips for you:

    1) Take all the copywriting tips you learned and create samples of your work. If you haven’t written a press release or a sales letter, do so. Ideally, you will volunteer your services or take a couple of low-paying freelance writing gigs. However, you can simply create samples and send them to your potential clients upon request.

    2) Visit job-oriented websites such as WAHM.com, Craigslist, oDesk, and Guru to find people hungry for your copywriting. If anyone demands you sign up for a “free trial” or asks for money to apply for freelance writing gigs, run away. This rule does not apply to products such as eBooks or software programs that you really could use for your business education.

    3) When you cannot find jobs on those websites, let someone helps you such as http://ufreelance.info/ They will review the top websites to make things easier for you. They will help to learn the concept of Freelancing better. They will help you double your income with: A complete Freelance knowledge base, Reviews on Top sites including payment Guarantee, Availability of Jobs etc and Reviews of top jobs and opportunities

    Hope this helps.
